About Maurice Wright

       Maurice K. Wright has been called and appointed by the will of God to be a preacher,apostle and teacher of the gospel of the kingdom and the Word of God. He has been chosen and anointed to serve as God's visionary and faith-partner in the earth with the vision of the Lord. Maurice has the mantle and grace of "Fatherhood" upon him as he humbly serves in the office of a bishop, and serves the body of Christ as an end-time apostle of the Lord. He is a shepherd,mentor and spiritual father to other pastors and ministers both here in America and abroad. Maurice and UCC are on the cutting edge of 21st Century ministry. He has been an "Apostolic Pioneer" in this city, state and region; and he has been used by God to break the traditions of men and the spirit of religion that has held God's people and this region in bondage to the liberty in the knowledge of the truth and the Holy Spirit.

       Maurice has also received a diploma from Light Bible Institute from Drs. I. V. and Bridget Hilliard of the New Light Christian Center Church in Houston, Texas. He has also attended the Selma University Extension Center and the Samford University Extension Center in Gadsden, AL. Maurice has completed many other courses and training classes as he seeks to keep growing and improving as a servant of the Lord. He has also become a Certified Group facilitator through the Overcomers in Christ Institute and the Birmingham Baptist Bible College. Maurice has received an Honorary Doctoral Degree in Theology from the North Carolina College of Theology in Wilmington, N.C. UCC presently host the North East Alabama College of Theology in Gadsden, a satellite school of the North Carolina College of Theology.       

        Maurice is the General Overseer and Visionary of the United Chritsian Church, An International Ministry. He is married to the lovely Brenda F. (White) Wright. They have been married for thirty-eight years, and to this most blessed and happy union God has blessed them with three children: Tandi (Brian) Kinney, Kabraila (Dominic) Gray, and Urick; and four grand children: Bre'Yanah and Breylon Gray, Zion  & Zoe Kinney.

       The greatest thing that can be said about him is that he is a born again, God-called, man of God, whom the Lord's hand is upon in a mighty way. He has a heart after God's own heart. He is one who is focused and committed to fulfilling the mandate of God's calling upon his life, and in making sure that God gets all of the glory. He is a gift from God to the body of Christ, and has the signs of apostleship following him.
